Saw that the iPad mini with retina display is now available in the refurbished section of the Apple store with a $70 discount on RRP.
If you have bought refurbished products directly from Apple they are as good as new with 1 year warranty (just come in a white box rather than standard retail packaging).

That's not the mini. And COTD were selling the mini with retina brand new for $399 until yesterday. The deal might come back again.

Stuff from Apple store can claim GTS back while from COTD cann't.
Why not? COTD provide you a tax invoice with GST.

Too many people are sucked into the distortion field of Apple. Some people just need to be told about it more often.

It might look like a bargain but in USA and Japan they are selling them for $400~ brand new. You can get a brand new16gb iPad mini retina wifi $390~ (With the 5% tourist tax refund, in Japan).
Refurb items from apple I've found to be generally quite good. I've had multiple refurbished iPads in the past and I've had no problems with any of them. They all looked pretty much brand new in fact.

Australian stock. I confirmed with them before posting. When COTD mention manufacturer warranty those products are local stock.
