Mens Palladium Wedding Ring

Hey all, my fiancé and I will be getting hitched in November and he's decided he wants a relatively plain style ring but to make it special to have it made in palladium which isn't hugely well known here.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to where we might find any reputable sellers? He doesn't want us to spend more than $400.
There are a few eBay sellers that offer decent pricing but I just don't know how trustworthy they are. TIA!

  • i'm not sure what you see in palladium that makes it attractive other than that they're less common

its an inferior material for many reasons. if 18k gold can be had for similar price (which it can be) i think this is a much better option.

Maybe they are buying it for them and not you.

i enjoyed your witty uninformative remark. hopefully the op enjoys palladium rings for many decades to come.

    • My partner has multiple reasons such as it doesn't wear easily, is strong light and great against corrosion. He wants to be able to wear it in all situations without having to worry about it plus he doesn't like the gold of gold and yes likes that is rare. A wedding band to us should be long lasting and special and having it in a rare metal is what will make it special for him.
Can you explain your reasoning behind it being an inferior metal please?

      • i'll give a couple of reasons but they're not limited to these.

palladium reactivity is between that of platinum and silver. gold is the lowest reactivity though i do realise that 18k gold is not as low as pure gold.

its a soft metal, and the treatment needed to make it hard for jewelry makes it more brittle than platinum and 18k gold

its light - you feel thats a benefit which is up to you. i personally prefer denser jewelry materials for many reasons. too many to list conveniently.

18k gold and platinum are most often used for high end jewelry for good reason. but dont let me convince you either way. As arcticfox says, you're buying the ring for you.

If you haven't got the ring yet, I highly recommend www.e-weddingbands.com.

They are from US, a larger market, therefore, cheaper prices and better range. I have had great services from them, brought both of our wedding bands from them. They even offered a free replacement (and delivery from US to Aus) when she didn't like the one that we selected.

Go for Cobalt Chrome for male wedding bands.

    • Na still looking so thank you. Good site but it's frustrating you can't just search via metal though.

      • The navigation links on the left of the home page do lead you to different metal rings. should be pretty easy to search from there.

I still love my cobalt chrome ring. :D It's been over 18 months and basically still look brand new, shiny and unscratched. Bloody tough material. You should read about the material.

        P.S: 4th July 10% off sales!
