Good deal. Was looking at other televisions and they have a LG 4k 49" for $2111.12 which is pretty interesting. I am thinking that 4k will be the new normal soon.

Manufacturer's would love that to be so. Unfortunately there is no content for these 'Ultra HD'. Unless you are going to watch only Bluray… IMO 4K atm is a waste. Full HD is more than sufficient for the next 5 - 10 years.
Look at 3D, four years ago, they tried to sell it on the back of the Worldcup, every action and animated movie was shown in both versions 2D and 3D, but even now Avatar is the only 'must watch' in 3D movie.Soon the no glasses required 3D tv's will appear, will these and the 'curved' Tvs be the new normal…
