D-Link Extender won't connect

Hi, can anyone please tell me why my dlink wireless extender is recognised by my Samsung smart tv but wont connect to it with the message saying check ip settings .

    Have you enable your extender DHCP service yet?

      Hi, thanks for replying. I really don't know can you tell me how to do that please. Is it done through the main router which is a netcomm
