You know, they’ve had people tell them that this isn’t possible. That there’s “no market” for this kind of event. People said that there weren’t enough people, that the community wouldn’t care enough.
People told them to give up. To walk away. That they'd be better off doing something for a more “conservative” crowd. Gamers, they said, are weird. Geeks, they said, won’t spend money. “Alternative sub-cultures”, they said, aren’t good clients.
So they told them to f*&% right off.
And they were right – this community has, AGAIN, put their money where their mouth is. Theye are SO CLOSE now to our goal. SO CLOSE to proving them wrong – thanks in no small part to YOU.
With 6 days left to go on pozible:
If you want to help them get over the line, here are a few things that you could do:
• Forward this postto your friends and family and harass them into pledging.
• Repost the link to the campaign on Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media network you use.
• Post the link on forums / in groups that are relevant (gaming groups, cosplay, LARP – basically groups containing people made almost exclusively of awesome)
• Talking to your local sporting team about buying tickets as a group.
• Talking to your work colleagues / boss about buying tickets as a group.
• And of course, if you haven’t got your tickets yet, PLEDGE! PLEDGE! PLEDGE! Pozible won’t charge everybody until the campaign finishes on 3rd June. :)
Here’s the link – to use and to share!
The way you copy and paste this with such horrid punctuation makes this look like spam.
I could barely understand what you mean.
