  • well its $100 everywhere else in Australia ( cheapest )

Not as good as yesterdays deal for $38

    • +2

The only thing similar is that they are 64gb, your comparing a mid level item to one of the better ones.

  • Check out Ebay - I've recently purchased two of these cards for $75 AU delivered for national stock.
EDIT: Nevermind, mine were the non Plus version.

  • Why it show me $69.99 ? :(

    • Shipping dude.. I don't suppose Amazon's FC is next door to you?

      • -1

They charge US$15 for shipping an SD card?

        • Did you even check before saying that? It's USD5.11

  • This deal is better: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Electronics-Adapter-MB-MG64DA-…

    Faster card, $10 cheaper.

    Read speed: Up to 90MB/s
    Write speed: Up to 80MB/s

    Sandisk has overinflated pricing.

    Read speed: Up to 80MB/s
Write speed: Unknown (But I doubt it will match the 80MB/s of the Samsung)

    • +1

The specs on the Samsung suggest it is only 50MB/s for 64GB. The 32GB model is the only capacity that seems to rate a faster write speed.

      • That's a listing error by Amazon.

Read what it says on the retail packaging: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61x7bvAwr4L.SL1500.jpg

And even if it wasn't, can the Extreme Plus match 50MB/s?

        http://www.storagereview.com/sandisk_extreme_plus_microsdxc_…

According to this review for Extreme Plus:

Performance/speed: Up to 80MB/s read; up to 50MB/s write speed (32GB & 64GB); Up to 80MB/s read; up to 30MB/s write speed (16GB)

The box says 90 and 80 for the Samsung Pro 64GB. And it's cheaper. It's MSRP is only about half of what Sandisk's MSRP is.

        • +3

          The official Samsung site even says it's 50 for the 64GB;
          http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/memory-storage-accessorie…

I agree the Samsung is still the better deal.

        • Well that's not what they say on their packaging, which they link to on that very page in the images section.

If there's conflicting info on the website and the packaging, you would trust the packaging first wouldn't you? That's where they can get into legal trouble if they misrepresent their products.

What's likely is that the 50MB/s is guaranteed achievable speed, and the 80 "up to" is a massaging that requires ideal but unrealistic scenarios to achieve, and might be only for short bursts.
