I am after a pair of Mens Brooks Glycerin 12 running shoes for hubby's b'day. RRP$249 in Australia. The ozbargainer in me is reluctant to pay full price.

Buying the latest version is not very ozbargain of you! :-) I don't think they don't get released until around early Jun?
In Oz athlete's foot or a few specialists will likely have an exclusive period and they normally always sell at RRP.
The shops I normally cross check in the UK don't have the 12's yet so you will need to consider somewhere in the states like roadrunnersports.com. Options will be limited as you are trying to get a very new shoe…
I like Brooks myself, and there was a time when I'd suggest trying Paul's Warehouse, but the last few pair of shoes I've had from there have not lasted as long as those from other retailers, so I'd steer clear of them despite the attractive sounding 2 for 1 deals.
I usually prefer Adrenaline or Beast, so I haven't looked for Glycerin myself, but have you checked places like Eastbay & Wiggle?
Pretty sure eastbay wont ship brooks outside US, and not sure if wiggle (uk) do 2E sizes from memory.
Try calling the Brooks outlet at DFO and see if they have them in stock - sometimes they post

Something new like that I reckon US shop via a mail forwarder would be your best bet. Exchange rate is moving against you though! Have a look on www.thefind.com for US shops with good deals.
