  fm2 is old tech but still… $95 for cpu and mb

  add two ram sticks and a cheapo case/psu and a hdd and 'acquire' an o/s and you're gold

    Performance roughly equates to the Athlon 64 X2 from 2005.

    But a sub-$200 price for an E-Machine is respectable.

    Goes to show you how little gaming engines have evolved when an ancient dual-core puts out roughly the same FPS as a i5 3570K in games like BF3 and Tomb Raider when all other variables are constant.

      Thats what I was thinking, I saw the cheap prices and thought wow, then I saw 3ghz dual core, eh same as my old PC sitting next to me lol (AM2+ and AMD 64 6000+)

    If you hunt MSY's clearance there may be some cheaper FM2 motherboards. One in Adelaide for $29 makes the CPU combo $58. Good value!
