is it worthwhile getting an extended warrantly for an acer desktop for $79 pa or $119/2 years? or just rely on ordinary warranty and assume that it is not worth the extra cost?@Candour: with an aarvark
@Candour: You never said how much the computer is.
Not worth it. Try getting them to fix it anyway and see how you go, it probably wont be fixed.@Zero Sydney: i just bought it.
the package is for 586.
the extra warranty costs are as shown.

Did you mean aardvark?
aardvark
(n) : a mammal, Orycteropus afer, of the order Tubulidentata, somewhat resembling a pig, common in some parts of sub-Saharan Africa. It burrows in the ground, and feeds mostly on termites, which it catches with its long, slimy tongue; a silly or credulous person who is prone to mistakes or blunders
"I walked into the wrong bathroom like a total aardvark."

Well the RRP now seems to be $189.95 so hardly a bargain, so who would actually pay $190 if there a bargain hunter? HT is about $169.
Cheaper ones out there with better reviews.See http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/124… for someone else's wrap up.
What is so "premium"? Its digital, so they all give exactly the same picture, don't they?
Sounds like Monster Cable to me. Fake nordic name intended to appeal to dumb audiophiles?
It's just another Conia-style importer of cheap chinese parts.
Yeah, and I hate hagen-daaz too :-)
What is so great when I can get a USB tuner for $20?
