They had 2 left when I last looked - $672 is a bargain for this unit.
thanks for that mate, i took note of the model. however, as for the price I feel (in this case) its better going for appliancesonline considering free delivery and hassle free service.
I know you want a hot connection (i guess you have gas hot water ?)
but can't go past Electrolux (pretty sure cold connection tho :( )
that's right, I have got gas hot water. EWF14742 was one of my shortlisted ones, but thinking twice if I should give in.
I'm in a similar boat, except without the hot feed-in requirement so I can't vouch for that feature.
7.5kg Fisher & Paykel $789 - Over budget and whilst I'm not fond of F&P, this one looks to be pretty good. Good feedback on productreview.com.au too.

Happy to hear your thoughts because your needs and mine are pretty close. My next house this will be going in has gas hot water (solar boosted) also.
It's a bit late but … a week after buying the same one at Harvey Norman for $648, today The Good Guys listed this:
Electrolux 7kg Front Load Washer
Model EWF14742
$625 until 04 Mar 2015
http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/electrolux-7kg-front-load-wash…?
I'm happy with mine. It's cold-water only but you can adjust the amount of heating, eg set 40C on the Eco cycle. Anyway, energy consumption with 'Energy Saver 60' must be pretty low as the rating label claims 287 kWh per year when using that program seven times a week.
The Good Guys have now dropped this model to $596. Their Google ads are taunting me, after my epic fail, paying $648 at Harvey Norman. Very happy with the machine.
has it got to be a front loader?
