Anyone have any info on this DSE tv? There seems to be no real info listed on its specs at their site, so I don't know if it's a deal or not.

With the Aussie dollar at this 15% below its peak, for a 31.5" TV to hit the $199 price point is impressive. However, comparing one batch of TVs from another batch is quite difficult because even the major brands may be sourcing their panels from different factories. For example, Samsung might be using Samsung or CMO panels.
For the tier 2/3 branded products, the quality of panels may be mixed as well. They may be mixing 80% of the batch with A/A- grade panels and 20% B+ grade panels. A good way to determine what grade panels they are using is by asking what their dead dot/pixel policy is for warranty purposes. The major brands will have a zero dead pixel policy whereas the smaller brands will have x amount of bright dots and x amount of dark dots.
Also there are some companies that claim they are using the same panels as the major brands - they are NOT. Just because the tier 2/3 TV uses a Samsung(the panel maker) panel does not mean that Samsung (the TV brand) is using the very same panel. I would be surprised if they are even in the same generation of panels.
Be aware it doesn't have a 7 day Tv Guide
doesn't beat the k-mart deal because it's not FULL HD
