If you don't have much budget then two very good choice here,
1) Moto X around $250. This runs on latest iteration of Android , Kitkat
2) LG Optimus G (Bit old phone released in last quarter of 2012 but its rock solid with quad core, 2GB RAM), nice screen…around $300.. It runs bit older version of Android, JellyBean but KitKat updates are rolling out soon…
I only have $100 peeps :(
Better off keeping your S2 and saving your coin for a bit longer.
Or borrowing an extra $150 and selling your S2 to repay the loan.
i find 150 (eg. huawei honor 3c) -250 is the sweet mark with chinese phones where you will get a reasonably top-end phone with a known brand like huawei or lenovo. anything less you are stretching the budget and you'll run into more problems than it's worth down the track
Agreed, anything less than $100 you're either buying an old model with similar specs to S2 or something new but made to a price that will break very quickly.
Ok I see your point. It's just that I've been seeing deals lately with some nice spec'd phones ie this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/135947
I've been there and done that with many cheap supposedly good phones and they have all failed within 3-6 months.
I'd recommend ponying up and getting something good like a LG G2 or a Nexus 5
there is supposed to be a new LG G3 coming out soon so the price might fall a bit more in the coming weeks
if not your probably looking at $200 to get something that is reputable from china have a look on geekbuying.com
