$1 shipped is the standard price on Ebay.

They also have it on ebay for the same price: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Micro-USB-to-USB-Cable-1m-MicroUS…

The store one should be cheaper since they don't have to pay ebay anything.

But they have to pay postage.

      • +2

The shipping is free at both places.

  • I'll call it …. 'No Deal' for me………..until someone advises quality :(

  • Kogan also sends you a lifetime of spam

    • which you can simply opt out from… or even set your settings to only get one of there spamms a day if you so wish……

if thats your criteria for not buying some somewhere i guess you no longer shop online anywhere?

      • actually I have opted out 20 times so its not a matter of simply opting out. no-one else I have purchased from sends spam like they do, and I opted out when I purchased. it took a report to spam watch for it to stop

    Wow. For one cable?

  • Wouldnt buy for a high end phone or any tablet. Otherwise good deal.

    These are cool http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/3-pack-micro-usb-smart-charging-…
Wonder if they are any good?

    • That is really cool.wish it was cheaper though

  • nothing special about this price

No point paying $1 on a charger that'll die within a month of use, when you can spend no more than $5 on one that'll last years.

    • +5

Its a cable not a charger.

      • It's primary purpose isn't for charging, but it charges at a slow rate, 500mA's through the USB2.0 port if i'm not corrected.

Correction: not spending $1 on a cable that'll die within a few months use, in comparison to a $5 one that'll last years.

        • Bro…..500mA is the max you will get out of a USB2.0 port with the best cable in the world.

Personally I've bought the $5 cables for $1 and they work perfectly on USB ports (ie. max speed possible), eg. when I charge my GS3 at work. Did have some issues with an actual charger - worked fine on HTC One but not GS3 for some weird reason. Kept charging and stopping and charging and stopping etc.

Now that they are $9 cables for $1, I can't vouch for the quality since they look different too. I'll buy 2 and test it :)

Hmm, maybe drop shipped so might as well get from eBay?

  • some cheap cable will charge slows and transfer data slows

    • Spot on with the cheap cable. Bought some myself and it was slow as to charge. Other times I would plug it into my HTC One and a message would pop up and say something like 'charging will be slow. use genuine cable' or words to that effect. I then bought these:

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Original-Tikbro-Micro-USB-Cable-/…

and they work perfectly. Couple bucks dearer but well worth it and quick delivery.

      • I can second the quality of the Tikbro cables, recently bought 4 from another deal and they all work just as well, and charge just as fast as the Samsung one that came with my S4.
