I am looking for a good ultrabook.
Main requirements are:
<$1500
Long battery life
Back light on keyboard
I will be running basic stuff on it, wont be playing games.
Anyone recommend me a ultrabook?

have you seen the new specs for the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 yet? i have an iPad, but i knew and accept that there are a few better tablets on the market……
that said, i drooled so much when i read the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 specs.
If battery life and portability is the only concern for you, I would go for Macbook Air.
This may help with the best Ultrabooks on the market currently: http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/the-best-windows-ultrabook/
Was done almost 1 year ago though
Only thing i need is battery lift and portability. I use it for online banking and various things accessing secure servers but nothing very intensive.
I'd recommend a Dell XPS 12 or 13 series. Has backlit keyboard.
If you check the Dell outlet, there should be some refurbed options available, buying new is also possible but may exceed budget depending on config.

Another is Lenovo T440 or T440S — with discount coupon.
Recommended, great customisation options, is under your budget, has WAN, MSATA SSD, Backlit keyboard option, 1600 x 900 anti-glare touch option, et cetera.
