Was thinking of joining a car share scheme and just saw this.
Nowhere near as good as the waived membership fee at the beginning of the year (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/130450), but still better than full price.

Personally not sure if I'll join up as the closest car is a km away from my house. Although since moving to dedicated bicycle commuting it would be nice to occasionally have access to a car for bulky items and bulk grocery purchases.
And here's an article from failfax summarising such schemes for the curious:

Would love to hear people's experiences of the service as well.
If you're a uni student you can get that deal all the time (minus $15 driving credit) but with cheaper car rates according to their website.
