Penfold aged wines

Hello everyone,

I hope you could kindly help.

As I have a few bottles of a quite aged penfold wines dated back from 196x.

Tried to sell them a few places (online) but was rejected due to liquor license and I was told that I could do that at grey's online but believe they do not have the expertise to handle the antic wine and could have damage it in the process.

My questions are:
Where else could I go to sell these wines as I myself is not willing to open them with an estimated thousands of dollars per bottle selling online.?

Best place to fetch the best value $$$$?

Will penfold buy them back? ^_^;

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I am in Sydney NSW.

    I have sold some of my wine previously through www.mwwines.com.au. They're located in Melbourne and take a commission obviously. It would be how you get the wine to them if you're in Sydney.

      Yes…it would be a problem to get the wines to them unless they have a connection here to evaluate the wines.

    I have 5 1961 penfold vintage bin 95 bottled dec 1962 grange hemitage and 1 1960 bin 49 bottled 1961

    Have you taken them to the Penfolds clinic to have the evaluated?

        Penfolds go around the country every few years (hubby went last year in sydney) and they will test your wines to see it they're ok and will top up (with equivalent wine even if it's a grange) and recork/reseal them. There are plenty of discussions on the penfolds clinic if you google them. It is a free service from penfolds but you have to register before the clinics open and you can take up to 15 bottles from memory (provided u registered them) and they have to be at least over 10 or 15 years old. Each bottle can only go to the clinic once (they only count those that have been opened and resealed)
