Free sunglasses when buying Contact Lenses (6 mths supply) from OPSM

60

You have to purchase 6 months supply of Disposable Contact Lenses and then you can pick any sunnies from the store (up to $200 value). If you want a pair that is more expensive than $200 you just have to pay the difference.

I received this offer via SMS, but I couldn't find any mention of it on their website - so I'm not sure if it applies to all OPSM's. I can only vouch for the Melbourne Central store, where I mentioned the deal but didn't have to display the SMS or anything.

SMS (from +61427060476):
"Come to OPSM b4 17.07 & get FREE pair of sunnies with 6 mth+ supply of Disposable Contact Lens.Cond apply. Reply STOP or ph 1800626300 for no SMS. SMS30259778"

  • Free*** (conditions apply). Dodgy as hell offer - but I guess I expect no less from an optometrist

@Giraffe: Could you please write down the entire message of the SMS? Cheers

Second this - I will definitely check this out at my OPSM if we can get some info from the SMS :)

      Thanks!

      • Thanks for your comments.

I've added all the details from the SMS. The only condition I discovered when I visited my store was the $200 limit.

        • So if I spend $160 on 6-months supply of the contacts i usually buy. I get a free pair of sunnies worth $200. Seems to good to be true?

          • @11112007: Haha I know it sounds like there should be a catch, but I went to the store and have a nice new pair of $190 Ray Ban's now. Also, my health insurance gives me a rebate - so sunnies + contacts was less than $50.

  • OPSM used to send me offers through SMS, but not anymore :(

EDIT: I think you must show them the SMS to eligible for the offer. at least it what happened to me last year

    • Maybe, but I wasn't asked to show my SMS. If you've bought from OPSM before and ask about the deal, I'm sure you would have no problems. If you haven't bought from OPSM (i.e. not on their database) then they might ask how you heard about the deal - but they would probably be happy to get a new customer.

If anyone tries out their OPSM let us know how it goes.

  • im bout to go get some contacts so ill check this out n report back
