Best WIN8 Tablet on the Market?

I'm looking for a new laptop and need suggestions for WHAT to buy/where to shop (preferably somewhere in store in Sydney).

Looking for something with the following specs:

Removable touch screen (tablet style - e.g. something like the Microsoft Surface)
Steel body
Warranty (At least 3 years)
Good battery life
Processor >/= i5, ram > 4gb, hdd > 128gb.

Budget is looking at about $800-$900. Any suggestions?

  You mean, check out the going-to-be-old Surface Pro 2, when Surface Pro 3 is released. The new kit would be over $1,000 but the price reduction to Surface Pro 2 might bring it to OP's budget.

At least 3 yrs warranty! then I dont think there's much choice (if any, unless you can those extend warranty things)

1) I think the only true contender is the Microsoft Surface Pro, which you have mentioned. If you can get a Surface Pro for a good price, then by all means go for it, but I personally would wait for the Surface Pro 2 to drop in price.

2) There are other options, but most of them are inferior to the Surface Pro, I know the Iconia W700 was competitive with the Surface Pro back in the day, but it just seems to have died down.

3) 3 years warranty? I don't think you can really get anything tech related with a warranty that long.

  or rather you probably won't even want warranty for that long. 3 years and you're probably outdated unfortunately. But yeh, extended warranty would probably be the way to go
