Just be aware that the DC59 only has a battery life of 20 minutes in normal mode and 8 mins in turbo mode, which means that I only get half of the upstairs done before I run out of juice. It takes about 5 hrs to recharge. But it does a really good job and its almost fun to use.
I have it's predecessor the dc45 and use it for upstairs, for the car, and spot cleaning - it does make life easier. I haggled at bing lee and got almost 20% off ticket at the time
Masters sell it for more than that so you can always get a pricebeat for another 10% off and local pick up.
