need more info than good android stick….if you are referring to one that has hdmi port and plugs in to the tv then I can vouch for EZCAST M2 dongle…there are others called measy but not sure how they compare to EZCAST…EZCAST works with android and with ios…recently they added ios airplay option which is working well so far on my iphone5…..

Use Amazon for reviews. Check XDA for recommendations.

  • Ditter v12 has been good to me

  • I bought a SMARTVU Android Stick by DishTV (a NZ company). It works, but it's pretty crap. I got it from 1-day daily deal website for $49.99 plus postage. It is painful to use and even with a full signal (wifi only) it struggles to load most video sites. I did a speedtest and for some reason max speed was 1.5MBps while my Android phone gets 10 - 11 MBps sitting in same spot??. I would invest a bit more in one which can accept an ether net cable and is not just wifi only.

What do you need it for?

  • i have the 808b, its dual core, very slow and painful to use. (still use it though)

They are awesome, basically turn any TV into a PC (almost!)

But the reviews I read dont talk about slow they says its silky smooth? I think mine might be a clone. (quite common as the 808b very popular) or it could be the rom I put on it.

My advice would be to go quad core. and try get one with ethernet to avoid buying a USB to ethernet adapter.

Wifi is known to be slow on these things, if you can get a ethernet cable to it its worthwhile

    • Our MK808b is fairly nippy.. takes a while to boot up, but is responsive otherwise.
Running a 720p 4.1 Finless Bob ROM. I found the 1080p ROM to be a bit less responsive and we sit so far from our TV that the difference isn't discernable.

  • I'm in the market for an android stick that can use hola and stream netflix with decent picture. What's the best bang for buck device on the market? I've looked into the chromecast but prefer one that does not need to be linked to another device

    • Go for Minix Neo G4. Very stable and zippy.
