Why are HN such ar***oles? Is there a big cost to them for giving consumers their rights, I thought the manufacturer would be up for the costs? Or do they just want to sell more stuff? Or are staff truly stupid?
Probably consumer.
And yea HN are the worst
ACCC gets the full amount from all consumer cases.
Fines are paid by HN (either head office or the store owners) to the ACCC.
So, fining these big company giants has no benefit to consumers?
So harvey paid all himself? Now his goons be out of pocket lol.
Got stung by HN (Southland)some years ago regarding a vacuum cleaner which didn't work, so very happy that ACCC has dealt with them. The penalty should have been much larger though.
Who gets the fine penalty? consumers? or the accc
