Logitech Shop return

Recently had a problem with an item I bought from Logitech Shop. I contacted Logitech, and after explaining the problem, they were happy to replace the product for me, gave me an RA number, and told me to just contact Logitech Shop about it to sort it out.

Anyway, after contacting Logitech Shop, there seem to be a bunch of requirements, including sending them the item back, which isn't a problem, except for that it will probably cost me around $15.

Is this the standard practise? Never had a problem with an item like this, so I'm not sure, especially when talking directly to Logitech it seemed like they'd just simply send me a replacement. Seems unfair I should have to pay to return the item.

  • well maybe they would want to repair yours and maybe sell it as refurbished?

but yeh I've seen some computer related products' warranty actually requires the product return for replacement/repair

Yes. Im pretty sure they'll do a test on the item first to see if it is indeed faulty. Otherwise everyone will claim their stuff is 'faulty' when its not, just to get free stuff.

When you return stuff to Harvey Norman, Big W etc. do you expect them to reimburse you for your bus ticket, petrol etc ?

      I walk…

    • No, I wouldn't expect to be reimbursed for my petrol when I return stuff to a brick & mortar store, but a lot of online stores cover the cost of the return shipping, to the extent that I thought it was becoming standard practice TBH.

  • I've returned two things (G930 & G700)to Logitech and apart from it taking a little while it was perfect and I got a new or an upgraded product in the end.

If I remember correctly it took 1 to 2 months from the time they received it to the time when I received mine. It took a little longer for the G700 because they gave me the option for getting a refund or receiving a new G700s. I got a new G700s which rrp's $159 or something and I bought the G700 for $79 (Free upgrade)

I'm pretty sure most Company's require you send the old product back to them to see if it is actually broken.
