JORD6APR14

20% OFF Jordan's Crispy Oat Clusters at Woolworths Online. Normal price $7.50 for 500g.

Expires 29th July 2014.

They have two flavours, chunky nuts and strawberry. I quite like the strawberry one. :)

Doesn't say you can't use in conjunction with other offers, so perhaps you can use it when they're on sale?

Update - Seems the code only gives you 20% off, bringing to down to $6. I'll make contact.

This muesli is actually super delicious. They actually have more flavours (raspberry and raisin) but woolworths only have the nut and strawberry one. Nut one is my fave.

There's nothing better than having chunky nuts…

      …in your mouth.

I came here for the chunky nuts joke.

  • its just 20% off for me which brings it to $6 ea

    • Oh that is odd… I'll update the deal and contact them.

  • My opinion from last time Jordan's was posted - not impressed by the taste nor HIGH FAT CONTENT. The Crispy Cluster Nuts pack states 22.9% FAT! That's over 10 times my regular muesli cereals. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/140922#comment-1954682

I've only tried the strawberry one, but if the nut one has a lot of nuts, that would account for the high fat content (and thus wouldn't be bad fat at all).

As with most muesli and cereals, though.. most of them border on dessert anyway lol.

      • As I previously posted the fat content was high enough to noticeable coat my mouth. That is not the experience of eating nuts, which are high in fat. That was the reason I read the fat content. Choice would regard this as a very high fat muesli, with the equivalent of 1 in every 4 or 5 spoonfuls just fat.

      • The distinctive fatty mouth-feel is from the use of Palm Oil. This highly saturated fat is likely to be found in all Jordan's muesli. That was what I previously had posted.

Cadbury in Australia changed its recipe to include Palm Oil, but removed it as the Australian consumers disliked the taste & different mouth-feel associated with the fat. http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/2013/03/28/palm-oil-hidde…

This fat remains solid at higher temperatures, so chocolate does not melt so easily & lowers cost of production. Hence the distinctive fatty mouth-feel I described. But there are health warnings regarding the high saturated fats. http://www.choice.com.au/reviews-and-tests/food-and-health/l…

Beside the taste and different qualities of this fat, it's production has led to environmental destruction in South East Asia. Saw so much of it in Malaysia. http://www.saynotopalmoil.com/Whats_the_issue.php
But in Oz, Palm Oil may be in other products, but few are labeled as such - just vegetable oil.

But I mainly hate the taste & fatty residue after eating Palm Oil.

    • Fat: 13.4% (Raisin), 15.6% (Raspberry, Strawberry) which is still quite high

  • Didn't Jordan's have another few flavours? (I am talking about oat clusters and not the granola mix sold in different packaging). I am positive there was a blueberry one I really liked (until that seemed to disappear) and maybe a wild berry or raspberry one as well. Thumbs down for the removal of flavours, deal is OK but still a bit exy compared to other oat cereals by weight…

  • its 50% off at coles btw
