  Before I bought a waterproof case, I used to just put my phone in a ziplock bag if I was ever going to be near a lot of water or it was raining really hard.

  Had an Aquapac bought for around $20-30 IIRC over 5 years ago that developed a very slow leak though I could find no obvious puncture or anything even under very close visual inspection. I am guess the material eventually wears to become porous over time even with only modest/infrequent use, so time for a new one, thanks.
