What happened to the' floating' New Messages bar?

The new messages bar used to float over the messages at the bottom of the window.
Now it is static at the bottom of the page. I don't like this position.
Scrolling to the bottom of the page to move to the next new message is a PITA.

    You mean the Comment bar at the bottom of the each page? Nothing has changed recently.

    Is this implemented as a popup window? I have provided www.ozbargain.com.au as an exception to my block popups list.

      No. Just a box with position: fixed CSS to have it stuck at the bottom of the window. Can you check whether there's Javascript error (Ctrl-Shift-J, although there would be a lot of different warnings).

      For me it works fine on IE, Firefox and Chrome.

    I have the floating bar in IE 11.

    It is working for me today in Firefox 29.0.1
    I did not do anything on my side that I am aware of - not even a restart.
