I prefer Genki nappies personally but they don't seem to sell them. GOO.N are also pretty good but overall the bestnappies.com.au range seems a little limited compared to other sites.

How did you find out about Japanese nappies and what makes you favour them?

How does the affordability compare to say Huggies?

    Thanks!

You can order a sample from the website. Something like $2 or $3 I think. Hope this helps.

    • The GOO.N nappies here are $0.33 each which is about the same as huggies when on special.

I found out by someone else asking me to try them. They gave me a sample and yeah we're making the switch. It may cost a bit more but then again it will be more comfortable for bub.
The Japanese nappies are softer, more absorbent and cause less iritation to bub's skins. Before trying them, I thought huggies were the best nappies.
Downside is that they are very expensive. I still got a few boxes to use up of huggies and then my bub will go onto these Japanese nappies full time.
    Hope this helps.

  • If you are in Melbourne, there is a shop in Box Hill on the same level as Coles that sells Japanese nappies. They don't keep much in stock but their prices are quite good for a bricks and mortar store. I think the store is called Honey Baby.

  • These were popular in Sydney…. Asian ladies buying them in bulk UNTIL the Fukushima accident…….then nobody wanted them. Just a bit of trivia for you

    • They still buy them, just the Taiwanese made version instead.

  • How do these fare compared to Mamy Poko? That's my baseline.
