    Yeah nice picture…

    • Sorry, fixed the link.
First time at posting a deal.

You must be new around here OP and I'll be nice, but certified means jack and it is only 1A compared to the 2.1A+ that get listed on here for $1~ delivered.

      Thanks for being nice.
Certified means it'll actually work after iOS gets updated.
the $1 ones usually don't charge after an iOS update or two.

        -Readies pitchfork-

Alot of people on Ozbargain have a problem with the word "certified" and it's meaning being misinterpreted or manipulated by sellers. "Certified" in my eyes in another word for genuine, or branded cable. What exactly is this "certification", do you send your third party cables to Apple to have them "certified?"

Or do we have our weekly case of OP trying to make the product sound better than what it actually is?

        • Thanks for the tip. You're right certified could mean anything.
I have corrected it to read MFi Approved (which is what this one is).

You dont understand, you only need a dual port usb car charger like this:
        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dual-2-Port-Universal-Mini-USB-Ca…

        Which have a 5V 2.1A and 1A output.

With you can use the original apple cable with it and it will work regardless of any update. You can charge what ever use a usb cable charger with it.

asking $20+ for something that only work for your ios device is absurd.

        • I understand what you mean now.
We sell a similar one to that - not $1.95 though. Unfortunately our costs are alot higher to get them in Australia so you get them quicker.

So your stuff is 10 times more expensive?

Sorry we dont buy in to that Australian stock so we get them faster bs.

On Ozbargain, the general consensus is that we prioritise price first then worry about the rest later.

If you can offer us stuff at the cheapest price then it is best to stay off ozbargain as you wont be well receive here.

          Ok thanks for that.
Thought OzBargain was for bargains in Australia, not China.
Just like anything, Australian warhousing, stocking and support costs alot more than the 5c per day labour in China.

I understand what the site is for now though.
          Guess it's not for us.

          Thanks for the feedback all!

OzBargain is for items from everywhere, but when you're trying to sell things at a 1000% markup and justifying it by claiming it to be "Australian stock" with ridiculous postage prices, it just doesn't make sense.

You can blame it on warehousing costs and the like, but at the end of the day, the consumer isn't willing to pay more.

        • +1

Warehouse, stocking, and support costs are not relevant here because your focus should be customers' value, not your value. And as a customer, I can only see that I pay 10 times for faster shipping time, which is not worth it generally.

Ozbargain means bargain FOR Australians, who are conscious about price and trying to maximize what you get for a minimum price. Your stuff is probably made in China, so for the hefty price you pay, you just get the same stuffs and faster shipping time (probably 1 week or so), which I think cannot be easily justified.

You should ask yourself, would you pay 10 times more for just shipping time, or be patient a bit and save a fortune (not just for your stuffs, but shopping products generally)

        • Totally understand :)
we also QC all items before going out - so for customer value, when you get something from us, it'll work - not having to worry that after waiting the extra 2 weeks, it doesn't work, then having to wait another 2 weeks for replacement.
It's each to there own though. some people want the security of having local support in case anything goes wrong. That's the customer value.

Australian stock!!! but charging postage fee like shipping from moon?!?

Time for a short ban on this company for bad deals by 2 reps?

    • -3

      Yep, happy with that.
Don't need to Ban, as i said above to highdealer, i misinterpreted the sites intention and probably won't post again so we don't cop hate again.

it's my honest mistake. Just can't find where to delete the deal post! haha

      • Here's a thought, how about looking at your product pricing and try to come up with a bargain? If you're running an online store that can't provide a good enough deal to submit to this site, then how will your business ever exceed?!

This site gives you the chance to come up with a great price for local product to just get your name out there. You won't make much money but you'll get an influx of new customers and email subscribers that may pay more later on for a local product.

To summarise, if you can't compete, even for a batch of 1 product during a once off sale, you won't last.

        • I honestly thought it was a bargain for apples with apples. Closest on the apple store or any store for an Apple MFi one is over $35.

Car charger with Apple certified MFi cable broken down is USB car charger per above $1 from China, apple cable $25 from Apple. So $26, if you use the one it came with no problems, but its not 2.5m long so people in the backseat can use it, and it means you don't have an MFi cable by your bed any more.

Regardless, I take it on board and will see what bargain we can do.
I'm open to bargain suggestions/help by PM BTW.

Thanks to all for the honest feedback. :)

          Happy mothers day mums!
