I am with AGL and get 8 cents per KW. Anybody know of any companies that do higher?
Thanks.

I used to get 68c/kWh from AGL, but that was in Victoria. I moved because AGL were the most expensive for everything else; even with the most generous feed-in rate, I saved more paying a competitors standard rates for usage and supply. Now I just get the standard 8c too, which is a rip-off. We should at least get a 1:1 rate. They're buying 1kWh from me for 8c and re-selling it to another customer for ~25c!
I wholeheartedly agree with this.
Its a utter disgrace that they credit you for only 8c/kwh or whatever the going rate is and then sell your excess to the next person for +30c/kwh…
Agreed, can't wait until batteries are cheaper then can be taken off the grid.
Don't worry the power companies will lobby to make that illegal or at least charge you a monthly "off-the-grid" fee.
Agrh so right damn it!
Its a smart rort.
The excuse is maintenance cost, what they pretend that isn't there is that they save multiple units sending your energy to a neighbour.
The old excuse for increasing prices was that it took multiple units to ensure a household received that 1 unit
This is why the electricity companies are making record profits.
Fairly sure there are companies that do 9.8 but might be wrong.
From what I've read, 8c/KW is the highest you can get at this point in time.
In previous years you could get up to 44c/Kw (although the installation would have cost alot more aswell).
