Brother QL-570 Label Writer $70 (RRP 179) + Brother Cash Back - Printers, Label writers, etc

20

Brother have their cash back for a while, with cashbacks ranging from $20 up to $200.

I was researching a label writer for my ebay packages, instead of writing down each address etc as it is very time consuming.
I was looking for the dymo labelwriter 400 (about $150) and came accross the brother QL-570 which is similar in function and speed.

searching the QL-570 brings up many cheaper options for around $125 compared to officeworks $179rrp.

$179 RRP,
$125 price match - 5% = $118.75
extra staff 5% = 112.80
$50 cash back = $62.80 (no extra staff 5% = $68.75)

some T&C's:

Can I make a cashback claim if I bought my product from BIG W/Dick Smit Electronics/Powerhouse/Tandy?
Products purchased from BIG W, Dick Smith Electronics, Dick Smith Powerhouse or Tandy are not eligible for cashback.

  • FYI folks on the issue of price match and cashback of Brother products a Officeworks…

A few weeks back I went into OW Mona Vale NSW and price matched a colour laser printer HL-4040CN (which qualifies for a $100 cash back). The rep agreed to the price match and went out back to get the printer. Upon return he told me that as he was price matching, the item would no longer qualify for the cashback offer. I thought this was odd as the T&Cs on the cashback flyer didn't say anything about having to purchase the item at full RRP in order to qualify for the cash back. I said that's fine and thought I'd go home and apply for the cash back anyway as that had nothing to do with OW and was a direct claim with brother. I noticed him punching in a few details at POS, but didn't check the receipt as was in a rush to leave. However when I went to photocopy the receipt to send in to brother I noticed the sales rep had typed an additional line under the printer in caps "ITEM DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR CASHBACK". Bit lame if you ask me as it's not OW that have to give me the cash back.

Anyway have sent in the receipt regardless and will update if I get the cash back. Fingers are crossed but be warned that cash back may not be honoured if you get a lamo rep who puts those words on the receipt.

EDIT: T&Cs on website also make no reference to requirement that item must be purchased at full RRP.
