Went there a couple of months after they opened in Richmond and never come back again. No free dessert can convince me to spend 50 bucks of Indian food from there.

We only ever cook Indian at home. We love the flavors but my wife refuses to eat in Indian restaurants for hygiene reasons.

    • What earthly connection is there between that link, and Indian restaurants in Australia?

Or are you highlighting that your wife refuses to eat in Indian restaurants when you are in India?

      • -2

Both. Indian people usually wipe their butts with their hands, thus not the best in terms of food prep hygiene.

        • Do you keep toilet paper in the shower, or do you just avoid cleaning that area?
Honestly the principle is sound, but its been corrupted to fit the economics of that situation in the video. With a bidet, strong soap and good handwashing technique its more effective than toilet paper. I'd be more concerned about the fast paced ruthlessly productive demands of the service industry, and how that would affect the length of a toilet break for a recently immigrated employee, probably one whose working under a more established immigrant from a similar country. But thats not just indian places, thats most places.

        • Sure with a bidet and decent soap like the French, no worries. Not that I have a bidet or have ever used one, but in theory.
If you see the video, it more like a quick messy splash with cold water from a communal dunny jar and rub with the left hand, maybe some soap but you gotta really wonder about the germ and turd buildup on the soap/doors/taps and hand skin pores - then straight back to the kitchen. Nothing at all like washing your bum as part of a full hot shower. Different things.

When they talk about bringing the authentic indian experience to the dining table, I don't think they take it that far. Any place in Australia that has bum splasher bin instead of toilet paper is not going to pass the health inspection.

        • sounds like they know how to cook the flavours you like, bidet don't know hygiene from a bar of soap!

          Lol yes.
Here I think they adapt and have a shared watering can or bottle next to the loo.

        • sounds like they've ended up with crap in their hands instead of vindaloo…

          this is definitely aloo matar!

        • KT, your ignorance (or is it bigotry) is breaking out all over this thread.

Cutting to the chase, are you personally aware of any squat dunnies in Indian (or any other) restaurants in Australia?

        • Ignorance! Lol at your total misunderstanding.
We are describing the Indian habit of butt wiping with the left hand, not squat toilets. Read the thread again carefully no bigotry here, we love home cooked Indian food.
          Its a fact, jackspratt.

  • and what dessert can offer? chocolate mouse carry ???
