Just setting up a ip cctv system and need help finding a good switch with 8 poe ports to power and for data.
Any good deals or recomendations ?

hikvision DS-2CD2332-I from aliexpress about $160 each shipped via dhl. Ordered last night so will have to wait 2 weeks before i see it.
Thanks for this mate, btw as for your PoE switches…how many ports did u need? Because if u need a lot of ports (Ie. u r going to run heaps of cameras) then ur better of buying a proper PoE switch, otherwise u can buy a simple PoE injector/splitter if ur only running a few cameras!

Ah ok, for 8 cameras i would go a PoE switch….how many wattage does the camera need? does it say on the site?

8 cameras so you will need a 9 port or 10 port switch (8 ports for cameras and 1 or 2 ports to connect to your router)
Take care that the switch you select can supply sufficient power for 8 x 7.5W otherwise disappointment awaits.

Hey s4nju, which IP CCTV System have you purchased? Because I am looking at buying one for my home as well and have no idea which system to buy…already have a few Cisco and other branded PoE switches at home! Thanks mate!
