It looks like a "buying block", set up by parties who have identified a niche in the market that can be taken advantage of….like APIA, who promise the world to "oldies" and only offer a pleasant phone call!
It costs nothing to join…why don't you sign up and let us know what happens?

Do I have to be over 50 to join?
Anyone can join FiftyUp Club, although many of our offers will only be available to consumers 50 years of age and over.

So I sussed it!…basically it's a buying block fronted by an affable clown to drag in the punters.
My experience with Fity up club is that it does not save you money. Big discounts are offered but what they dont tell you is that the product price is inflated. I suspect that the club organisers make a nice commision. I signed up for Click Energy, their billing is a nightmare and the discount errors were always in their favour, my bills kept going up then I noticed their power and delivery charges were much higher than market price which negated the higher discount offered.
