Cheapest way to get from Sydney to Jindabyne then from Jindabyne to Thredbo

I have booked a trip to Thredbo (staying in Jindabyne) for the 14th July and was trying to find the cheapest way to get to Jindabyne from Sydney and from Jindabyne to Thredbo (each day for skiing. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! I also don't mind slumming it a little to save a buck.

    Usually bus is the cheapest.

Pretty sure there are regular transfers from jindabyne with local services. Some places where you stay arrange transport.

are the bus prices per person?

if you're going in a group may be worth driving yourself there. if you have a fuel efficient car (if not, my friends just hire a corolla from nobirds), its ROUGHLY about 3.5 tanks of petrol to get from sydney to jindy and then to and from the snowfields the 2 or 3 days (because you need to return the car with a full tank).

Then include your park entry and stuff, which the bus would anyways! split that with those in the car. (may need to incorporate the cost of hiring snow chains if crappy weather! (only about $30ish for the weekend)

and the convenience…esp if the bus has a meeting point that you're no where near.

that said, now im hanging for snow season to start! :/
