It's white and you lose 24gb of space and the controller charging cradle, pretty sure that's all.

haha, well i haven't even looked at any wii u stuff until recently since mario kart 8 is coming. getting a free game with mk8 is what's pushing me to buy.

Really all you're paying for is the extra Wiimote+ and Sensor Bar.
The Wii U Basic from a few months ago with Skylanders Swapforce and Nintendoland for $249 is what I brought. I just used the sensor bar from the old Wii and we already have a few spare Wiimotes and use a 1TB External hard drive.
Not everyone comes with nintendoland, like the mario premium bundle doesn't, only comes with mario and luigi

Just look at the deal real close, most don't mention it's there but there is a tiny symbol on the box showing it if you get it
Just to clarify a couple of things - Nintendo Land is included in this bundle. I bought this bundle for my sister. This current bundle is simply the original basic package with a separate "additional box". The "additional box" contains Nintendo Land, Just Dance, a sensor bar and a wii controller plus. None of this is or was included with the basic set.
Nintendo Land DOES NOT come bundled with every console. It did not come included in the basic package. It originally came bundled with the premium console only.
Premium bundles that came with other games (e.g. Mario and Luigi U) did not come with it. I bought this bundle and Nintendo Land was not included.
The Mario Kart 8 premium bundle does not include Nintendo Land either.
HOWEVER, there is a separate promotion re Mario Kart 8. Register it in Club Nintendo between 31 May and 31 July (from memory) and choose 1 of 10 other games to download from the Wii U shop for free. One of those is Nintendo Land.

Nintendoland, if you don't manage to get it free, is only 18-29 bucks preowned from EB anyway.

nintendoland is listed on the big w product page and the jb hifi box does indeed have what i'm pretty sure is a nintendoland graphic on it.
if you aren't in a rush for mk8, then end of july is when the free game deal expires, surely a better deal will be available by then.
