SquareSpace is a US based web hosting and development platform that I use for my personal website ( www.miralightimaging.com ). I've found their template driven development platform relatively easy to use and the service and support very reliable. I'm on the basic US$8 per month plan which includes domain registration.
The code above (and lots of others available through photography websites and blogs) gives 10% off your first invoice. Free domain registration (.com, .net, .org etc, but no .au domains) is available if you sign up for one year. There's also a free two week fully functional trial period - no credit card required.
I really wanted to like SquareSpace and I tried the 2 week free trial, but I found it too slow to render pages. I guessed it was because they probably only have servers in the US. My current Joomla site hosted in Australia was about twice as fast, so in the end I decided to stay with my current site. Can anyone else confirm speed comparisons?
