Free Moving Boxes

Hi Guys.. I know we all would have moved a lot of times in our lives. I am moving again.. I want to know what is the best way to score free moving boxes?

I went to bunnings but they had small boxes and they were not ready to give them away.

Where else can i grab them from?

Thank you

  • Officeworks Loading Dock. No foodstuffs previously contained in them, and they're usually flattened (not crushed). If you come early in the morning on a delivery day, then they may have not had time to chuck all the flattened boxes in the bale press, and you can score yourself 50kgs of flat boxes. Then just pop them into their original shape and seal with masking tape. Done.

  • Bunnings supply them for free. You're welcome :)

    • @ inasero
so you did read the post yeah ?

      • Well all the bunnings I've been to in the past have had large boxes and we're happy to give them away. Op may have better luck at other branches

  • most coles will give you banana boxes if you ask.

  • in the recycling bin behind a convenience store?

  • Go to Big W, they have piles of huge boxes from bulky Manchester products which is about 3-5 times the size of banana boxes

  • I went to my local woollies and asked one of the storemen walking around, and he saved some for me over the next few days.

  • Pharmacies

  • I used to work at Woolies and would get people ringing in and asking if we could save a couple of boxes for them.

Saves us the work of walking to the crusher and loading it up.

From memory, the apple or banana boxes are the way to go. Tomato boxes too if you need them smaller.
