Has anyone tried using f.lux?

Has anyone tried using this free program called f.lux before?

f.lux fixes this: it makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.

It's even possible that you're staying up too late because of your computer. You could use f.lux because it makes you sleep better, or you could just use it just because it makes your computer look better.

Have used it for a while now. It works.

  • I used to use it but due to photo editing it became an issue as you can imagine.
Changing the 'true' colours of photos because of the change of 'temperature', kelvin.

Used it for a couple years and love it. If I want to watch somethign on my comp I just disable it for an hour.

Been using it for years now and it is honestly one of the first things I install on any new device that I can do so on. An absolute essential program for me and especially so on my iPhone for those late night usage sessions.

  • I've been using it for years also. Recommend it.

  • I use it on my phone and my laptop. Brilliant little tool, works a treat for those who are in front of screens right before bed and then can't sleep.

The Android equivalent is Twilight ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbandroid… ).

  • I liked it for a while, but slowly turned away from it. Kept finding myself having to disable it to do many different things (movies, photo editing, even just browsing some videos sometimes).

Also for whatever reason it would always cause my computer to lag when it was in the "transitional" period - and I don't have a particularly slow computer.

Overall though, if you use your computer in any sort of low-light, I highly recommend it. REALLY helps your eyes, even when it's not on full-blown orange setting.
