Just Jeans Canberra Outlet Centre DFO: Levi's Jeans Buy 6 Get 60% off $15.98 Each

150

Hi,

I rarely buy clothes, but couldn't pass this deal. It's current ongoing in Canberra but I'm not sure of their stock level. Also unsure whether this is nation-wide, I highly doubt that. Please call them first.

Basically Just Jeans in Canberra Centre DFO currently run a promotion for both men's and women's jeans:

Buy 2 pairs, you get to take 20% off the current price tags.
3 pair 30%
4 pair 40%
5 pair 50%
6 pair 60%

There were lots of Levi's 508 tapered leg and 504 tapered leg when I was there, so I got them for about $16 each. The price tag read $129 down to $69 down to $39, 60% was off the $39. So 6 pairs were $95.88 in total. That's about the same price as a pair.

There were also other brands, including Just Jeans, that are cheaper. My friend got 6 pairs for about $65. Common size for the men's section are 32, 33, 34, some 30 and some 36.

Yes, I bought 5 pairs of the same jeans, but to a guy like me, jeans are jeans, as long as they last.

I'd be really wary about buying jeans from Just Jeans or Rivers at the moment…

Cancer-causing dye discovered in jean imports
In the past month, clothing chains Rivers Australia and Just Jeans, and bedding retailer Pillow Talk recalled items, including children’s jeans, coloured with “azo dyes” known to break down into carcinogenic chemicals.

I think jeans come slightly before shelter (it was in his second edition, near the back)

Jeans definitely comes before shelter. It is the shelter of your most valuable assets.

You need a lesson in English comprehension

These were RECALLED, so they wont be part of THIS sale.

Given they recalled the items which involves cost to them, would they now be selling on sale items that could be recalled at extra cost later.

          I strongly doubt it.

But hey if you get bored, you can get a job as a journalist, pick any paper, or even TDT they would love your sensationalist dribble.

        • I found this update by JJ. Looks like the cancer dye is only applied to these jeans, or maybe they are the only 2 ACCC tested?

    • Ok thank you for this info. Just wondering does it apply to Levi's jeans sold by Just Jeans too? The ones I bought were made in Mexico.

I also heard Azo dyes are not a new thing in Australia, it has been like this for years until one day, one bored person in the ACCC decided to find something fun to do and tested his jeans.

      • The ones I bought were made in Mexico.

The ones refereed to in the article were made in China…

phew. lucky the mexican ones only leak white powder.

WOW!!!! the mexican ones leak white powder!!!!!

    • All my Verbatim optical media used Azo dyes. Supposed to have an archival life of more than 100 years.. pretty good life expectancy if you ask me.

      • yeh but you can't wear them

Oh … so someone in the ACCC has actually done something!! Now that's amazing..

    • Funny how accc havnt noticed that coles have 2 supermarkets in northcote shopping centre only 200m apart.
      Restructing competition anyone?

  • Yes, I bought 5 pairs of the same jeans, but to a guy like me, jeans are jeans, as long as they last.

my prediction is they should last you 5 times longer than they usually would.

  • Anyone know if this deal is available at the homebush dfo?

      Deal or Dye?? :)

    • Best to ring and ask. DFO in Canberra is actually in a process of transitioning into Canberra outlet center so things are a bit different down here, DFO sold to COC
