I haven't had a lot to do with them, but from the details, it seems as though it would be good for gaming etc.

Thanks for that. Was the one you bought the same as the ad? I see that its supposed to go to 80 inches..if it distorts over 40, then it's pretty terrible.
theres a legit Epson one. about the size of 2 iPhones at officeworks. check that out maybe
Even the brand name ones are still pretty rubbish from what I've read. Need a completely dark environment and resolution is low.
only 50 inch though…and that's maxxed. Probably a good price to do what it needs to (ie, display pics etc) but I was looking for something primarily for gaming consoles.
The title of the post is mini projectors to use with phones. For a gaming console you are going to have to consider a full size projector to get the size and resolution you are after. Officeworks have some HD (Acer and Benq) ones under $1,000.

Bought one the other week, $75, LED, supposed to be 800600 or 640480, but I doubt it.
Anyway basically you get what you pay for. You can see the pixels clearly on any image projected over 40 inches, and the firmware onboard is terrible. Thing will not wok without its remote.
