Would like the best price around for these phones.
Or, a phone with extremely similar specs for no more than $150.
Cheers :)

I'm not after 4G, just the best value for money between $100 - $150.
Honestly, decent screen resolution would be my number one priority, and a camera with a flash.
Decent screen res as in resolutions around HD 720p?
Not going to happen with a $150 budget, try starting at $200 and upwards.
I would look at a Motorola G, it will tick all your boxes and it's only $223.50, anything lower and you're looking at pretty low end devices which compromise on a variety of stuff.
Another consideration is an Asus Zenphone 4 or 5, which is a low price but decent-spec contender.
I like how fancy you think I am :)
My last phone was a Huawei Ascend g300+, which I absolutely LOVED. Suited my needs perfectly.
It had a screen resolution of 233ppi, for the low price of $59.
Unfortunately, I killed it within 6 weeks of having it by exposing it - twice - to ridiculous amounts of water.
I can no longer have nice things.
In all honesty, I want this phone again. But my Mum (who has the same G300+ but bought it a few months prior to mine) is now having serious issues with the phone, so I'm not entirely sure I want to buy it again and deal with issues down the road.
So now you know how not-fussy I am when it comes to specs :)
Just price.
Get the Huawei Y300 then, it's a better faster version of the G300. Goes for $79 via Telstra (can be unlocked cheaply via Bagman, but unlocked versions can be bought for $100 via eBay).
Just be aware the G300+ does 900mhz (optus yesG) but the y300 isn't, and is instead a Telstra blue tick device and has no 900mhz support.
Yup, that's why I never bought it in the first place. I'm on Optus, and for half of the year I live in the sticks :p
Thank you though :)
The Huawei Ascend G526 4G is $159 at Vodafone at the moment. Still $179 on their website but in-store it has been reduced. The HTC Desire 310 is $149.
I have no idea about phones. What is the difference between the 2 (besides the 4G)? I asked the guy tonight at Vodafone and he had no idea!
Thanks.
Though I have no idea what I am looking at.
They are both similar phones though the HTC desire only has 512MB of RAM, and quad core CPU, while the Huawei has 1GB and a dual core CPU.
The Huawei is a better pick, despite it being only a dual core device.
O'K thanks. The Vodafone guy today said the HTC was better because of the quad core - he didn't mention anything about the 512MB RAM.
So I'm wondering if there is an even cheaper phone out there with similar specs to these 2 phones?
A quad core device (local stock) has never popped up on Ozbargain before for <$150. The only ones that have shown up so far are imported devices, and from white label brands sporting the MTK 6859 processor. However that's not necessarily a bad thing, as $150 can get you a fairly capable device that's on par with a similarly priced HTC or Huawei device, but with more modern processors and updated hardware.
The cheapest 4G device you can get is the Telstra Frontier 4G for $99. A very mediocre device which I wouldn't recommend unless you're dead set on having 4G

The best specced devices you can get for $150 is most likely a Huawei G510 or G520. I've seen the G520 selling for $150 in several brick mortar shops.
