Virgin Mobile completely down?

From about 12:30 AM, my phone's internet connection was lost on both 3G and 4G… and can't call anyone as I get this recording saying "You can't call because you don't have enough credit"… but I'm a postpaid customer.

and their website doesn't even work http://www.virginmobile.com.au/

Is anyone having the same issue? The issue seems to be still there, I still can't use internet and call anyone.

  • Seems to be working for me. I just texted myself and 3G data worked fine.
    edit: Im on postpaid.

  • postpaid accounts are down prepaid are still fine about 2 million customers have no service

  • My postpaid and prepaid are both working fine as well.

  • Check their facebook page, seems like problem is associated to post paid people only.

    • Just checked, looks like many angry customers are complaining…

  • So it seems like only a part of postpaid customers are having this issue, do hope this gets fixed soon though as it's almost 12hrs since it happened. Even customer service can't be called because of "insufficient credit".

  • Always recommend a reboot when a network goes down (periodically)
    has worked a few times for me.

    (will never go back to Virgin as they previously told me they would do certain changes to my account-
    which did not occur, i called to double check and was not impressed with the poor standards.)

    • It started working around lunch time… luckily.
      Virgin is like a budget version of optus, I guess people get what they pay for in this case… and I refuse to sign up with Optus because their plans are too expensive considering they have a not-so-good network with way too many resellers squeezing people in.
