Battlefield 4 PC $39 at JB Hi-Fi

50

This is the cheapest I have seen Battlefield 4 for PC in Australia. The only other place to buy brand new at this price is www.ozgameshop.com.au

Good for those who don't want to wait a week and a half for delivery.

Think $39 is a good price for a 4 hour single player FPS with endless multiplayer.

Hope someone finds this useful.

    Endless broken multiplayer*

** and lack of servers due to DLC that I refuse to buy.

  • I wish Premium was as cheap…

  • Is this really a deal? I paid about this much from a key site about a week after launch, delivered in 10 minutes.

And yeah multiplayer is a train wreck.

    • It's a huge download.

Some people don't want to leave their PC whirling for hours on end.

I agree it takes a few hours to download but c'mon if you leave it downloading overnight its not that bad… mine took 2 hours.. I have TPG and it was the fastest download I ever had… 2.1mb/s

Because Origin misreports the download speed. Well-known issue; maybe part of some EA plot to make Origin look better than Steam. People have reported getting download speeds that are physically impossible for their downstream line speed.

Speeds are calculated on the extracted size, not what is actually downloading compressed. Which throws the numbers way off.

        • that makes sense… damn..

      • Even if you install the BF4 from the cd there will still be a big patch download because heaps was patched since the original release. Hope you have plenty of gigabytes of internet quota.

  • agree… it has been pretty laggy lately…

  • Is single player story mode worth the money?

      Dear God no.

If it weren't for the mandatory unlocks you can only get by completing the campaign nobody would touch it with a 10ft pole.

It's nothing but scripted, COD-style set pieces with a jingoistic 'Murica saves teh world storyline.

BF3's Campaign Co-Op was a little more intriguing, but still, it in no way justified paying any amount of money solely for that experience.

    • I'm not a big fan of Single player on FPS… great graphics, good story but I only played to get some guns unlocked for multiplayer …

    • Its hip to hate. But if you like mindless shooting fun, and don't take gaming to serious, its pretty fun.

    • It's alright if that's the kind of gaming you're in the mood for.
But worth the money? I'd say no (and I got it for $25).
