Hi all,
I was just browsing a link shared by a friend of a friend of a friend on Facebook and thought it would be a good share. Double Cheeseburger link here
It's details how to use the Cheesy BBQ burger to get a Double Cheeseburger for $2.90 instead of $4.35.
According to the blog post to get a Double Cheeseburger order:
- A $2 Cheesy BBQ burger with:
- No bbq sauce
- Add mustard
- Add pickles
- Add an extra cheeseurger patty
- Free packs of ketchup
Open the burger, add the free ketchup and it will be a Double Cheeseburger.
Well someone ought to inform the Maccas Corporation that they'd best fix their promotional pricing because Davo93 doesn't find it acceptable! The nerve of a business setting the prices for its own products!
Again, I don't see how this is any different from any other limited time pricing from any other type of business. Even more so for fast food, because with such reduced margins on the level of the $2 McDouble, they need to be moving in large numbers to make it worthwhile. If the popularity of the McDoubles remained high, I'm sure Maccas would've loved to keep it on the LCM. But obviously it didn't. And no, it's not called profiteering, it's called capitalism. Might want to look into it.
