1-Week Xbox Live Gold Free

960

I'm not sure it can be used to extend the existing live gold membership. However, I'm new to live gold and it worked for me.

Steps:
1. Click on 'Go to Deal' link
2. Enter the code M95MN in the upper right corner
3. Fill out the requested form. No need to contain your real data but need a real email address.
4. Answer the question 'are you a Xbox Live member' with no!
5. Check the email and find your 25 digit code (may be in the Junk Mail)
6. Enter the code via Xbox.com > Xbox live gold> Redeem Code

Note: You need to create a Xbox free account if you don't have one.

Don't think you can use a trial to score the games with gold?

More than happy to be proven wrong ;)

      • Depends on if it's a week of gold or a week of trial. Promo codes can be either.

        • I can see the label on top-left corner of promotion which state trial.
Is that mean only entitle online function, no more free games?

        • I used this promo. When I go to confirm my purchase of Dust it says it's free.

          http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Dust-An-Elysian-Ta…

But… it just gives me an error when I click confirm.

"Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again."

        • Do you have a USA account by chance? If so you'll need to use a USA VPN to purchase it or convert your account to an AU one

Check your junk, and also be aware that you cannot use an email address that is associated with a current xbox account it seems (gold or not)?

      • ah, yes i use my existing xbox account (im not gold tho)
so need completely new email add, but later i can use on my existing?
or i have also create new xbox account with that new email?

        • so need completely new email add, but later i can use on my existing?

Yes. Use whatever email account you want (not associated with an xbox account) to get the code, but then you can use it on an existing account ;)

        • i used both a non member account and a member account and so far no email

        • Check your junk mail.

        • nope not in there either.

Any benefit of the gold membership for non-xbox owners? :)

    • No…

      • So nothing for the xbox service on Windows 8 and Windows phone?

        • Actually can use xbox live chat on windows phone with gold, else your friendslist with silver is just a pointless feed of who is playing what

Looks like it is only working with .com emails … I couldn't register with a .de and a .net.au

    • aaah thanks got it to work with an old yahoo account, tried my xbox live email didnt work, a .com.au account and that didnt work, this explains why :)

    • just an update, i applied the code cant see anywhere if my status has changed to gold and don't think you get access to the live gold free games.

    • TPG email didn't work. Had to use my Gmail.

Thanks! Got one saved to be activated in Oct.
Will go nicely with my $69 X360. :D

    • Mind sharing where do you get that $69 x360?

      • Sure! You're 4mths too late though…$69 after cashback

        • Lol, totally forgot that deal. Thx

        • WOW

        • Don't forget it included 2 games and delivery. Best boxing day deal ever!. Got some good use out of mine while the new consoles don't have many good games.

  • Still waiting on the code 24 hours later, not in inbox or junk mail.

    • Gmail seems to be the only email working.

Hotmail (even it's a .com one) and Yahoo accounts don't.

      Not sure on the others.

  • I received my code on a yahoo.com email

  • Just registered again, used Gmail this time, came straight through.

  • For G-mail.Look in your promotions inbox by clicking on promotions tab.

Came straight though.Hotmail isn't working for me.

I got 3 codes using same yahoo.com ID just changed DOB ;)

    • This is one of those deals that can be broden'd w/o causing anybody missing out…

Get 6 codes (1/mth: may-oct) for claiming the 2 free XBL Gold games each month.
unsure if additional codes can be used on same acc. as they'd know you previously has gold memb. before

      • I don't think you can claim free gold games with trial code.

    • thanks.it worked.

    • denied - same email detected already claimed free xbox live

    F.A.Q regarding Xbox Gold trials.

    • Trial codes (2,7 and 14 days) are NOT eligible for the 'Games with Gold' promotion (free games with an active Gold Subscription).

    • They do NOT stack! e.g redeeming two 14-day trials do not total to twenty-eight days of Xbox Gold. They are only active for 14 days from time of redemption.

    • Trials only enable one to play online and use certain "Gold-Exclusive" apps, such as SBS on Demand or Youtube.

    • They are not eligible for Gold-only discounts/ offers.

I believe this FAQ should be copy-pasted from deal to deal to avoid the same questions from arising.

  • I have a code for anyone not a gold member, inbox me
