Lenovo A850+ smartphone adopts MTK6592 1.7GHz Octa-core processor, insuring the phone running quickly. It has 5.5-inch 960 x 540 pixels IPS capacitive touch screen. With 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM, you can play games and watch video smoothly. Lenovo A850+ Supports dual SIM card dual standby, WiFi, wireless Bluetooth and 3G for data transmission and hands-free calling. Its built-in front camera is 0.3MP, and the back 5.0MP with flashlight.

Specs say 2GB memory and 2GB of internal SD card (provided I guess). Lousy front camera. Not sure what the warranty is.

    "5.5-inch 960 x 540"

Ummm, no thanks. May have been ok @ 4-4.5", but unacceptable for a 5.5" device.

  • One of the few Chinadroids that support Optus 3G

    • I'm going through the worst experience trying to buy a Chinadroid from minideal.net.

      Paid for item…..Then nothing….Now paypal claim…

    • Huawei Honor 3c supports Optus 3G and it's brilliant. I have one. Only cost me $219 delivered (with DHL Express).
2GB RAM, 2GB ROM, 720p 5" screen. So happy with it (only had it for a few weeks after having a HTC Desire HD for years, so I still have the giddy new phone feeling)

ozb members likely to have prob when buying from overseas site (mainly from china), is this fake or original brand? curious to know, since banggood rep didn't response to answer question about the romos(?) portable charger last time

Surely these are fakes. My suspicions are based on a Google search for 'Lenovo A850+' . Results show no legitimate Lenovo links for the first three pages of results I scanned. Do Lenovo even make mobile phones?

    • I can't seem to find it as well.

    • yeah there are China Lenovo which are genuine. Though I bought a Lenovo T780 - good luck trying to find any info on it. Ok phone.

    • Do Lenovo even make mobile phones?

Yes, they have about 4.7% global market share. They acquired Motorola Mobility and they are growing fast.

    • Lenovo doesn't make any mobile phones for the international market — they only sell and market their products within China.

Recently they acquired Moto's mobile division from the big G, so this will change in the future. Expect to see Lenovo phones land in Australia probably next year.

  • i bought a dg350 from banggood from a previous posted deal.
It is defective (choppy phone calls and inability to connect with 3G). I would say banggoods response so far in working through the issue has been fair. They are willing to refund or send out a new one upon return of the device, main issue is them taking 1-2 days to respond to each email (even if I respond within minutes of getting one from them).

They have offered to give me a new phone for $88, keeping the old phone (which i am considering as it is still very useful on WIFI for the kids, and it would give me spare parts..)

    Current conversion from xe.com

    164.89 USD = 177.574 AUD

  • I bought a 7.0" Phablet MTK6592 from Antelife (http://goo.gl/Ucw5Q2)
it supposedly supports the necessary bands…
But will not work with a SIM from Telstra or Optus.
    I get
"unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped"

So for now it is an expensive tablet.
Nice screen, fast and light though.

Antelife are painfully slow to deal with and they still haven't
acknowledged that they sent the wrong plug adaptor for Australia.
They say they will accept the phone back. But even that is a big hassle too.

If anyone has gotten their chinadroid working in Oz… Do share tips!

      1. Make very sure that the phone you buy supports the provider you use
      2. Buy something that's been out for a while and that a lot of other people have already bought so there are solutions to common problems already out there
      3. Buy from a fairly well-established brand (Xiaomi, Lenovo, THL, etc.)
    • Try a factory reset, software upgrade or custom ROM.
I've seen that error on some Custom ROMs on Brand Name phones

      • Done the reset. (and a few other Googled suggestions)
I assume a new ROM will fix it… But all in Chinese for now.
So I'm not willing to risk bricking it.

  • It's about $160 on Aliexpress..

  • Lenovo has a couple of range of phones, this belong to the le (happy) phone series, use the Taiwan rtk series chipset. Serious contender for the low end market, where lumia x and low end windows phone like the 1320 is at.
Rtk chipset currrent issue is no 4g, that should be resolved by the end of this year with its supposed 10 plus core chip

I got the 150 a820, works well on optus and voda
