Hi All,
Just wanted to get people's thoughts on the demand for US video games. I see the likes of the overseas stores and the impact that has on shipping times and I'm working on a store for imported games that are available with local shipping.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
It all depends on the price you can and are willing to charge for them. If you can provide a good saving to your customers then you can concentrate on gaining a healthy reputation over time. You need to be certain that you can also provide the product in a timely manner. This means that if you offer a new release then your customer needs to get it within a week of release otherwise they'll view your value as not worth it. There isn't anything worse for gamers aside from their consoles/PC's breaking down than seeing their friends playing the latest release when they're stuck waiting especially if all they saved was $5-10.
Be mindful that by importing and mailing out you're paying delivery fees as well as the customer. That rapidly eats into your potential profit.
