Refurbished MacBook Air Via Apple: 11" $889 13" $979

180

Yesterday Apple updated the base CPU in the Macbook Airs from 1.3GHz to 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5. (http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/article/543987/apple_drops_mac…)

If you're like me and honestly cannot imagine that making a difference that you're willing to pay an extra $200 for, you might enjoy this opportunity.

  • Most of the refurbs would be brand new correct? (just a superseded model)

    • That's my theory, but I didn't want to put it in the description in case it wasn't the true and people got mad at me. I'll report back when mine gets delivered!

Even when they aren't brand new, apple refurbished are usually as good as, from what I've heard.

        • Yep, refurbed apple products pretty darn "new" in quality and reliability

      • It was refurbished, but couldn't see a thing "wrong" with it. Just came in plain packaging.

    • Yes, they sell the remaining stock of the old model as refurbished, but it comes brand new in the plastic (this isn't always the case, you may actually receive a refurbished one). They always do this in the weeks following the release of a new model.

  • The discount seems minimal and a normal 10% off seems to close in the price too. Although the new air have not much upgrade but seems a better choice to get the new model.

Base model 11" looks close to 20% off

      • This is exactly what I paid for mine using dick smith stacking discounts :)

  • I'm considering new @ 10%-15% discount or one of these. Undecided.

    • If you want the new one, wait for the discount. If you want this gen, you may as well get it from Apple, or try to pricematch the 11" at TGG for $890.

  • Dick Smith currently has 10% off.- Don't know if they have stock of the new MBA yet though. Might be worth a call to your local DS store.
