    What's updated?

    100MHz for the CPU only?

According to MacRumors, bumped advertised battery life as well.

Correct. But not a deal since that's the price all the time from now on.
Sorry I don't mean to be rude.

But not a deal since that's the price all the time from now on.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Nexus 5 launch was considered a "deal" from Google Play at launch even though it was being sold at RRP and "that's the price all the time from now on". Same went with Nexus 4 after the $100 price drop even though "that's the price all the time from now on".

I'm not saying this particular MacBook Air post is a deal, but your logic makes no sense when in the past, RRP HAS been considered a deal.

      Seriously this ozbargain double standard…

EDIT: Links to the aforementioned "deals".

      • Also not deals.

You also have to consider that the Nexus 5 was well priced at RRP for the specs it was offering compared to it's competitors. I don't think this Macbook is in the same category as the Nexus deals.

Standard price. Why is it a deal?

      • New season Imperial Mandarins were only $2.49 per kilo at woolies the other day, bargain?

  • Deal or new retail?
    That's the question.

50 less? Shouldn't it be 100 less. Ahh Australia tax.

  • 10% off Apple product is a real deal. This is meh.

  • I wonder if retailers are gonna drop the prices of the old one now

  • Bought the old one from JB about 2 weeks ago… weeps

  • How is it that when the US version raises it's price by US$100, the corresponding increase in AUD is more. Then when prices drop by US$100, the corresponding AUD drop is less?
