A lot of things were on clearance, can't remember the prices but PlayTV was $34.70 or so and the console with GTA V is $244.30 (save $104.70) which seems cheap.
Also had XBox 360s for $279.30 save $119.70.

The 4gb kinect bundles were $149.50 and the 250gb kinect bundles were $199.50 last week.
There are a bunch of games that were dropped "after" the 50% off already reduced price sale they had last week. Some prices have stayed at the Easter one day sale price and some are even less.

I still use my ps3 all the time even though i have a PS4 and XBox one. Just because a newer system is out, doesn't mean that the 100's of games for the previous system aren't worth playing..Also the fact that it is a perfectly capable Blu-Ray player as well.
To add to that it's a perfectly capable 3D blu-ray player.
to add to that, its multi media streaming too
ps3 is far better media player than ps4

Why buy a PS3?
- years of good game development allowing the choice of countless games in countless genres
- the capability to buy several games for the cost of one typical PS4 game
- the capability to buy the console for less
- a long way off from becoming irrelevant just because the PS4 is out
- plays PS3 games perfectly, unlike the PS4
- cheaper controllers and accessories
- far more people playing on PS3 than PS4
- PS3 has no Early Adopter Tax at this point in its lifecycle
- hardware (and software) has seen years of refinement and should have less issues
+1 You made far too much sense in there… that it has put me off buying a PS4 right now and I will just wait and be content with my PS3.
I will wait for a price drop and better hardware refinement :P
I kind of wish I had have bought a ps3 instead of the ps4 at launch amount of amazing titles I missed out on not having a console for a few years and amount of great games released every month free on ps+ for ps3

Thanks for the post, I've been looking for a playTV for a while and lost a few auctions on eBay where they have gone for $70. Picked up the last one at Ringwood this evening
Chirnside Park has had them for $50ish for a while from memory and the Cashies in ringwood has one for $49.
