Rebel Sport, online and in store price difference.

Just a heads up for anyone heading to Rebel Sport. The last 2 times I've bought shoes from them I have always checked online beforehand so that I know which pair I want, I take a picture of them and then head in store.
The pair I wanted today were advertised online on sale as $84.00. In store the price was $179.00, and an employee told me they were on sale for $120.00. I asked the employee about the online price and showed him the picture he said that's fine and that $84.00 will be the price.

Head to the checkout and the cashier said $90.00, I told her the online price was $84.00 and she changed it straight away, didn't have to show her a picture or say another word. I assume the employees know their is a price difference which is why she changed it straight away.

Happy gift card spending, hope this helps!

I have often found Good Guys is the same, different prices online and instore.

The instore prices are supposed to be automatically corrected at the checkouts to match the online-store's price, unless its an online-only special. Even so, most managers would authorise it to be the same as the online-store's one.

  • Nice to see a retailer who matches their online price. Had a discussion with a Big W manager once about a different online price to their in-store price (not an online only deal) and he said they would happily match the price of their competitor's website but not their own.

  • I wonder how the story would have gone if you suggested you saw the item for $40 online.

They can probably check it themselves.

  • bigW are the worst about things like this, outright refusing to match their own online prices.
They even give you the whole "its a different division" excuse.

  • Woolworths online price is dearer than in store.

  • Wow, wouldn't this be classified as fraud, or at least false advertising, if Rebel online and Rebel stores are the same company?

Nah, online-store price and brick & mortar store price don't have to be the same. Classic example: Coles
